Governance

Mission

NAPO® is guided by and lives by its mission:

To be the leading source for organizing and productivity professionals by providing exceptional education, enhancing business connections, advancing industry research, and increasing public awareness.

Board of Directors

NAPO has a governing Board of Directors composed of volunteer members who have full authority and accountability for the association. In accordance with NAPO Bylaws, the Board of Directors have responsibility for the supervision, control, and direction of the affairs of the association. They decide association policy, set business goals, approve plans, and monitor their progress. NAPO’s long-term objectives and business priorities guide policy setting and decision-making for the association.

Directors are assigned by NAPO’s President to serve as Board Liaisons to NAPO’s numerous national committees, which are led and staffed by NAPO members on a volunteer basis. Committees serve a vital role in NAPO’s long-term success by supporting the mission and the priorities set in the annual strategic plan.

Chapters

Chapters serve NAPO members in over 30 U.S. markets, and the Virtual Chapter brings together NAPO members from around the world. Each Chapter is governed independently by volunteer leaders in accordance with the Chapter’s Bylaws.

The HQ Team

NAPO is professionally managed by Association Headquarters, Inc. (AH), a charter accredited association management company.  NAPO refers to the team from AH as the NAPO HQ Team. The NAPO HQ Team provides professional consultation and implements the goals and visions set forth by the Board of Directors according to best practice standards in the association management industry.

Antitrust Compliance Policy

NAPO has in effect an Antitrust Compliance Policy (“Policy”). It is intended for the guidance of NAPO’s member company representatives, officers, directors and staff, when engaged in any activity conducted in the name of, or on behalf of, NAPO. All such persons are expected to be familiar with the Policy and to follow it both in letter and spirit.

Through strong governance, a culture of volunteer leadership development, and association management transparency, NAPO lives its mission.
